BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Today marks the 12th week/third month since Myles arrived, and to make that Mylestone more memorable we're hauling him off to Atlanta! Day 1 of the trip was a 237-mile leg from Indy to a hotel in western Kentucky, off the I-65 exit! This would have taken close to 3 hours in non-parental times, but 5-plus hours now!
What took so long? Feeding in Edinburgh, in the parking lot of an outlet mall that has a Carter's .... hmmmm, yes it wouldn't be a road trip without a scenic sache for shopping. There was also another stop north of New Albany, Ind., and a gassin' up and diaper change in Mumfordville, Ky., in which Tom -- clearly not his mental best -- pulled out of the filling station muttering about being in the middle of a scene from "Deliverance" and pulled a Britney Spears, as Netta was holding him in her lap in the back seat -- not the car seat. That was followed by a What-Are-You-Doing-Daddy?
NOT 1%: In celebration of the 3-month mark, Myles kicked off a week-long feeding spree followed by sleepless nights and a lot of milk. And we mean a LOT of milk! Not the Marsh store-bought brand, either.
ON TRACK: This marks Myles' second car journey in less than a week, as we "tested" whether he could manage a 9-hour plus trek to ATL by taking him to LexKy for a University of Kentucky alumni event! That was 400 miles round trip and he'll have logged another 1K by the time we get home next week!
